The digital vignette for the Czech Republic was introduced in 2021 when the vignette stickers were substituted by the online toll system. Now, a Czech e-vignette can be bought at physical points of sale or online, which is more convenient.

Vehicles with a maximum permissible weight exceeding 3.5 t are not included in the vignette system. Drivers of these vehicles must register in the MYTO electronic toll system. They are also required to install a GPS device to measure the toll based on distance driven.

In case of submitting a notice of exemption without having the right to the exemption, a physical or legal entity may be fined of up to CZK 100,000. If the driver whose vehicle is eligible for exemption did not submit the notice despite the law demanding it, a fine of up to CZK 5,000 can be applied.
